Here some pictures I took during one of my last visits in Budapest, at the famous cemetery of Kerepesi, founded in 1847 and one of the oldest cemeteries in Hungary. I like to take a tour of the old cemeteries of the European cities, because of their mysterious fascination. Usually there are some interesting sculptures and if you are careful you can learn something more about the historical figures of the city where you are. In fact Kerepesi is one of the biggest National Pantheons in Europe and the biggest outdoor statue park with its area of about 56 hectares, comparable with the Père Lachaise in Paris.
